Running with excess weight HARMS your health! A person already places extra load on their joints, knees, back, and other body parts that are “not designed” for this extra “cargo” they carry. Moreover, running, due to the lack of smooth movement, creates repetitive impacts of that excess weight on the knees and so on. I keep repeating: if you have decided to lose weight by running, I sincerely pity the time you have wasted. Fat burns due to your diet, while cardio (running and anything else that makes your heart beat faster) allows you to develop your cardiovascular system. And there are no “buts.” Diet determines body weight; sport determines muscle.
