The third possible goal in training is strength development. And while it’s obvious that bigger muscles imply more strength, and it would seem that the scheme described in the last post could be used for strength development, this is both yes and no. Since strength is not only the presence of muscles but also the ability to simultaneously engage the maximum possible number of fibers, you will have to train this skill as well. To do this, you need to prepare your nervous system and the muscles themselves with a light (! not exhausting) warm-up and then try to lift the maximum possible weight 1 time. Then, a long rest (several minutes) – and another attempt (often unsuccessful) to lift something that is beyond your current capabilities. And, as in other cases – you can’t do without proper nutrition. And although people trying to develop strength often don’t watch what they eat, but just try to eat more to get bigger (and, by the way, also lift more due to high body weight), I believe this is not an optimal approach. First of all, due to the lack of discernment in nutrition, they are obviously destroying their health. And no less important is that the body, in this case, is not in optimal condition, and the development of strength and muscles (not fat and weight) is also not optimal.
