“Nowadays you can sell sh*t if you wrap it nicely” — this is one of the pitch messages I get from “supplement” salespeople who have been trying to recruit me into their “business” for a good 15 years now.
Dear businessmen, you have absolutely zero chance, because I’ve tried 98% of what you’ve wrapped up, and it all either doesn’t work or has such a minuscule effect that it’s not even worth remembering the first letter of its name. I, on the other hand, have to know all the names, because part of my job is telling clients where the absurdity and garbage are hidden.
I know all your stories: the one about “apples aren’t what they used to be,” and “the boy who lived,” and the rest of them… I’ve heard them from different people — the only thing is, the brand that saved the boy is always different.
Let me emphasize this again: I have personally tried every single one of your brands, including the ones you call “new releases.” Most of these “new releases” were already forgotten 10 or 20 years ago as useless junk. I tried them, making myself a guinea pig who DID NOT CHANGE sleep schedule, nutrition, workouts, working hours, or water intake, and on top of that, I added the supplement that was supposed to “do something.” I recorded the results (or rather, the lack thereof), frequently took tests (where it made sense) — and thus established FACTS based on REAL OBSERVATIONS MADE BY ME.
You have zero chance. Moreover, the numbers you are offering don’t matter, because I am not ready to trade walking with my head held high and a peaceful night’s sleep for anything.
